It is an information and discussion forum for the different and diverse forms of law, be it multinational, state, informal or traditional, that are applied on the African continent. Particular attention is given to topics regarding current legal developments, also with references to economic and political issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Law in Africa<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;would like to initiate and deepen discussions. We can only accept unpublished original work. The articles may be subjected to minor editing which will not change its content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manuscripts (in German, English or French) may be submitted as an e-mail attachment and under the conditions that they have not been published elsewhere in any form and that they are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. A short abstract and some details about the author (both in English) should be added. We regret that no remuneration can be offered for publication. Contributions must be saved in a simple, editable (no PDF files please!) format, i.e. without automatic hyphenation, with a consistent font, and NO activated hyperlinks or other macros. The length of an article should not exceed 20 pages using 12 pt Times New Roman, line space 1.5. In accordance with the editors\u2019 intention, open access publishing permits free access to academic publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All articles in <strong><em>\u201cLaw in Africa\u201d<\/em><\/strong> are published under a CC BY-NC licence. The full text is thus accessible for everyone while, at the same time, the authors\u2019 rights are respected.&nbsp;Authors may archive the publisher version or their article (author\u2019s personal website or institutional repository) under the conditions that a CC BY-NC license is applied and the published source (Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft mbH &amp; Co. The appraisal is carried out in a double-blind review process. The reviewers are renowned colleagues in the field of African law. They are especially required to consider the scholarly merit, the high content quality and the relevance of the papers offered to the editor. The Rules of Good Scientific Practice apply. Plagiarism is not accepted. Inappropriate submissions may be returned without formal review.
