New content for Inlibra: Suhrkamp becomes a partner

Neue Inhalte für Inlibra: Suhrkamp wird Partner

The long-established publishing house is banking on the platform for independent publishers

Inlibra has secured the long-established Suhrkamp Verlag as a new partner. With selected series and publications from the humanities and social sciences, particularly philosophy, the publisher is expanding the platform’s academic portfolio.

A historic connection is being continued digitally

This collaboration builds on a special historical connection: in 1963, shareholders of Suhrkamp Verlag took over August Lutzeyer Verlag, from which today’s Nomos Verlag emerged. Through their collaboration on Inlibra, Suhrkamp and Nomos are building on this shared history. Inlibra’s commitment to an independent, diverse and strong publishing landscape is in keeping with Suhrkamp’s own publishing ethos. Wide reach, technological expertise and personalised service also ensure straightforward access to Suhrkamp’s high-quality academic content.

Philosophy, social sciences and non-fiction on Inlibra

Suhrkamp Verlag is one of the leading author-focused publishers in the German-speaking world. Its catalogue comprises German-language and international literature, non-fiction and academic publications, with a particular focus on philosophy and the social sciences. In future, selected non-fiction and academic publications from the Suhrkamp and Insel catalogues will be available in digital form via Inlibra.

Another step towards diversity in publishing

With Suhrkamp, Inlibra gains a partner that, more than almost any other publisher, stands for intellectual debate and outstanding publications in the humanities and social sciences. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to further developing Inlibra as a shared digital platform for independent publishers and to making academic diversity visible and accessible. The fact that we are also building on a historical connection between Suhrkamp and Nomos makes this partnership particularly special to us.

The partnership with Suhrkamp underlines Inlibra’s commitment to strengthening independent publishing and raising the profile of publishing diversity. Researchers and students benefit from even broader access to high-quality academic content.
