With its new podcast, ‘recht:zeitig‘, Nomos Verlag is launching a discussion series that combines legal expertise with social relevance. Behind the podcast is a team of six legal scholars: Prof. Dr Susanne Beck, Prof. Dr Stefanie Bock, Prof. Dr Charlotte Schmitt-Leonardy, Prof. Dr Georgia Stefanopoulou, Prof. Dr Dana Valentiner and Prof. Dr Liane Wörner. Together with a large group of advisory board members, they ensure academic rigour and thematic diversity.
Whether it’s polarisation, populism, digitalisation or global shifts in power – ‘recht:zeitig’ aims to make sensitive issues and complex problems accessible. It is aimed at anyone who wants to understand more clearly the role that the law plays in these matters: members of the public with an interest in law, journalists, students, politicians and academics in related disciplines.
The basic principle: differing opinions are welcome. ‘recht:zeitig’ encourages productive debate – conducted in a respectful and well-informed manner.
From 28 May, the founders of ‘recht:zeitig’ will be introducing themselves and the focus of the new podcast on all the major podcast platforms.
The first regular episode (001) is devoted to the topic of freedom of expression and will be broadcast on 11 June. The guest is the lawyer and journalist Ronen Steinke.
